Sodium Chloride Injection, USP 0.9%, also known as Physiological saline, is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, aqueous preparation of sodium chloride. It is indicated for administration to restore fluid and electrolyte balance in clients. This balanced fluid has a pH of around 6.5-7.5, and its osmolarity is approximately 290 milliosmoles per liter (mOsm/L).
